Let Kids Vote! at “MLK March for What We Believe In”

In honor of MLKJr Day, my kids’ elementary school held a “March for What We Believe In,” open to family members. Students held signs they made about whichever cause they chose and paraded a few blocks around the neighborhood under the supervision of their teachers. I brought a sign that said — Let Kids Vote — and some students chanted the phrase!

Students parade with handmade signs for causes they believe in, as part of their curriculum honoring their school’s namesake, Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. When they see my sign, which says ‘Let Kids Vote,’ they like the message enough to chant that phrase. January 17, 2023. Cambridge, MA.
